Originally founded as Market Lubbock in 1997, the Lubbock EDA was established by the City to recruit new business and industry to Lubbock and to retain existing companies. 

We’re proud of our accomplishments.  In the nine years since the Lubbock EDA was founded, we have been responsible for creating 7,000 new jobs and $300 million in direct investment.  We’ve had the pleasure of helping companies like Allstate Insurance Company; ARMtech Insurance Services; Food Concepts International / Abuelo’s; INCODE; Mrs Baird's Bakeries; X-FAB Texas; and Watson Sysco Foodservice set up shop in Lubbock.
